Balkan Jumping 2017

Eight medals in Bulgaria

 

Eight medals, three gold, one silver and four bronze, were the positive report of the Greek mission from the Balkan Jumping Championship, which was completed yesterday in Zihtnica, Bulgaria.

In the Juniors class, Greek athletes won three medals, one gold in team and one silver and one bronze at the individual. The Greek team with Selini Pop with Brandy Sugar, Anna Danalis with Prelude de la Roque, Antonis Antoniou with Loon Illusion and Paola Martini with Electic Elvis easily won with 0 points  to become the golden Balkan Champion in a total of 6 teams. 2nd Balkan Champion was Dimitris Drougas with Magic de France with 4 points in 4 rounds and 3rd Balkan Champion, Paola Martinini with Electic Elvis with 4 points.

Absolute success for the Amazons winning the two gold medals in team and individual and another bronze. In the team competition, Greece with Katerina Doubodel with Persona Capitol, Angelika Karakasili with Captain Cunterbunt, Daphne Kesisoglou with B Bomel and Margarita Dendrinou with Bonfire won the gold medal after a jump off with Turkey and Serbia. After the two rounds, the three countries ranked first with 12 points and in the barrage Greece had the fewest points. Daphne Kesisoglou with B Bomel won the individual gold with a total of 0.36 points, while 3rd Balkan winner was Natassa Fouki with Claus with 6.95 points.

In the children's class, the Greek team with Artemis Pitsikou with Marisa, Evelina Vogli with Qualinka du Chatet, Melina Piemanidi with Carnavals Wonder and Athina Zolota Yara with Stamiro 2 won the bronze medal with a total of 12 points in both rounds. Balkan winner was Bulgaria.
In the individual, 4th was this year's champion, Athina Zolotta Yara  with Stamiro 2 with 0 points in total.

In the Seniors class in the individual competition,  last year's champion Grigoris Voglis won the bronze medal with Quelly Briquedale with 7.94 points in four rounds, while Greece with Grigoris Voglis, Anna Levi with Coeur de Lion, Kriton Zafiropoulos with Dicaprio and Alexandros Fourlis with Grandeur was in 4th place.

Finally in the CSIYH that took place alongside the Championship, Stavros Georgopoulos with Princess Diana Capitol won two medals, one silver and one bronze in two of the three competitions.
