The Panhellenic Equestrian Competitions, organized by Special Olympics Hellas in collaboration with the Hellenic Equestrian Federation, took place successfully on Sunday, 17th of December at the indoor arena of the Olympic Equestrian Centre in Markopoulo. 

Within the framework of the competitions, the President of the HEF, Mr. Isidoros Kouvelos, gave his horse, Quilo, to the Therapeutic Riding Training Center of Serres.

Quilo, a Holsteiner born in 2000, is the horse that Mr. Kouvelos's son, Spyros, rode succesfully in jumping. Now the horse will help the Center's school and the training of young athletes. This horse has a rich athletic career and participated up to this year in competition with other riders.

Mrs. Maria Liga, President of KETHIS, thanked Mr. Kouvelos for the donation of the horse, which was long looking for to help the development of horse riding in Serres, as well as the Hellenic Federation for the support.

Horses and Amazons from the Special Olympics Riding Training Programs from all over Greece, Athens, Serres, Ioannina, Argolida and Kalamata, ride their horses and gave their best at the Panhellenic Competitions. The President of Special Olympics Hellas Mr. Dionysios Kodellas and the President of the HEF, Mr. Kouvelos gave the prizes.
