HEF is nominated for the FEI Awards - Solidarity!

In 2021, for the first time the Hellenic Equestrian Federation - HEF is nominated for the FEI Awards - Solidarity 2021 (Solidarity Award).

HEF was nominated by the FEI for the FEI Awards - Solidarity 2021 for the immediate and effective evacuation of equestrian clubs and facilities and the rescue, transport and care in Markopoulo of more than 300 horses after the fires of Attica in August 2021. This candidacy in fact highlights and applauds the joint coordinated efforts and the full support of HEF and all the anonymous freinds of the sport and volunteers, who with self-sacrifice and love participated in this great effort that resulted in no horses' lost. The recognition of these people and their efforts in the name of HEF will be an award of the entire Greek riding and its people and is a cause for pride for all of us internationally.

Many important equestrian figures and equestrian organizations are nominated for this year's FEI Awards 2021.

Fans of the sport around the world can choose their candidate in five categories:

FEI Best Athlete Award
Longines FEI Rising Star 
Cavalor FEI Best Groom Award 
FEI Against All Odds Award 
Solidarity Award 

The online voting started yesterday and will last until October 17. Everyone can vote here https://www.fei.org/awards 

The public now has 13 days (October 5-17) to vote for their heroes.

The winners will be decided by combining 50% of the public’s vote and 50% of the judges’ vote for the final result. The nine expert judges for this year’s FEI Awards include FEI President Ingmar De Vos and equestrian legends Andrew Hoy and Kyra Kyrklund.

The winners will be announced at a gala dinner in Antwerp, Belgium on November 17 which will be broadcasted live on FEI TV.
