On the occasion of the Call for Proposals for the utilization of the Maropoulo Olympic Equestrian Center 

On July 14, 2022, the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund S.A. (TAIPED) has published the “REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL for the exploitation of the “Markopoulo Olympic Equestrian Center – MOEC through long-term lease”. The MOEC has been the home of the Greek Equestrian Sports and of the Hellenic Equestrian Federation (GRE NF) since 2005.  

The GRE NF, maintaining a related legal interest, is closely monitoring the tender process, the proposed lease agreement and the general regulatory frame for the exploitation of MOEC and will be ready to take any action necessary for the protection and further promotion of equestrian sports in MOEC, staying firmly committed to the observance of the legal provisions and decisions that have determined the use of MOEC for equestrian sports in a detailed and legally binding manner. At the same time, the GRE NF is interested in actively participating in the materialization of the above, as well as its statutory purposes, an in this context it will be ready to offer its experience and knowhow in the organization of equestrian competitions and events to the Highest Bidder in the Request for Proposal, always aiming to provide high-level services in relation to equestrian sports and to promote MOEC as a major international equestrian center, to serve the public interest and preserve the Olympic Legacy.
