Decisions

This morning, the annual meeting of the Balkan Equestrian Council (BEC) was held in the VIP Room of Ippos Club as part of the Balkan Championship Jumping 2026, with the participation of representatives from the Balkan Equestrian Federations.

During the Conference, a number of important issues concerning all equestrian disciplines were discussed, and the following decisions were reached:

1. The countries that will host the Balkan Championships in 2027:

• Show Jumping: Romania
  • Dressage: Croatia
  • Endurance: Greece
  • Driving: Romania

2. The process of reviewing the regulations of the Balkan Championships will begin immediately.
3. The Pony category will be upgraded to a Balkan Championship.
4. Provision will be made for the organisation of a Balkan Championship in Eventing at 1* level.
5. A request will be submitted to the FEI for the Young Riders category to be changed to U25.
6. The organization of a 1* Balkan Cup Eventing.

The meeting also included a presentation by the international sponsor of Endurance, Emirates International Endurance Village (EIEV), represented by Events Director, Mr Mohammed Ali Al Hadhrami, regarding the cooperation with the Balkan countries.

 After the meeting, Mr Mohammed Ali Al Hadhrami was presented with an honorary award by

the President of the BEC, Mr. Alan Andabaka, in recognition of his contribution and support to the development of Endurance in the Balkans.
