The HEF's event was a success

After two years due to the corona virus, the Annual aWARD Ceremony of the Hellenic Equestrian Federation was successfully held again last night in the auditorium of the Hellenic Olympic Committee.

During the event, HEF honored the Deputy Minister of Sports Mr. Lefteris Avgenakis for his contribution to sports and especially to the horse sport. In his greeting, the Minister spoke with warm words about the sport and the equestrian athletes, while he did not fail to mention the Markopoulo Olympic Equestrian Center and how important it is to remain the "home" of Greek Equestrian.

HEF also honored the former minister, Mrs. Fani Palli Petralia, also for her contribution to Greek Equestrian Sport, and also the Chief General of GEETHA, Mr. Konstantinos Floros, for the revival of the Greek cavalry.

The event was also graced with the presence of the General Secretary of Sports, Mr. Giorgos Mavrotas, the Mayor of Markopoulo, Mr. Konstantinos Allagiannis, the President of the Hellenic Paralympic Committee, Mr. Giorgos Kapellakis, members of the Hellenic Olympic Committee and representatives of sports federations.

The event was dedicated to athletes. HEF awarded its top athletes, Ioli Mytilineou for her distinctions and magical appearance at the August World Championship and Angelos Touloupis for his successes throughout the past year, as well as the two paradressage athletes Dimitra Eleni Pantehaki and Michalis Kalaraki for their first and very good appearance at the World Championship of Denmark.

Also HEF awarded all the athletes who honored the national emblem with their participation and contribution to the National Team, the athletes who won medals in the individual and team events of the Balkan Championships in Jumping and Dressage, the 2022 Champions in the three equestrian sports, the Champions and Winners Clubs.

Once again this year, Greek equestrianism honored its sponsoring organizations and companies, as well as individuals who come to help its program throughout the year, such as the National sponsor, Mr. G. Mytilineos and the companies Mytilineos and Protergia, the Region of Attica, the Municipality of Markopoulo, the Public Real Estate Company, the Innovis Pharma, Longines and Swatch Hellas Companies, the Antoniou Group, Duxiana, Connoly, Superfast Ferries, Luxury Sports, Horsetack, Plastica of Crete, T press, IASO General Clinic, Autohellas-Hertz, Aegean, New Alert, Griffin, Holiday Inn Athens, individuals such as Mr. Giannis and Melissa Vardinogianni, Floret Karadontis and Niki Sklavounou, as well as ERT for the promotion of the equestrian sport.
