An exciting jump off in the M Mytilineos Grand Prix between 8 athletes concluded the second day of the Athens Equestrian Festival 2023 despite therain.

The big winner in the M Grand Prix was the Italian Filipo Codecasa with Lugano van het Lindehof with the fastest clear round and a time of 46.94 in the jump-off. Italian Roberto Previtali with Conthargo Blue was second with a clear and time of 48.63, while Ukrainian Konstantin Zolin with Hending van de Bresser was third with 4 points and a time of 44.01.

On the Greek side, the best Greek in the GP was Angelos Touloupis with Lord Mexx who entered the jump off and with 4 points and a time of 48.60 he took 6th place. “I made a mistake in the jump off and the 4 points put me in 6th place. However, my horse was fantastic and I thank him" said the Greek champion. The prizes at the M Mytilineos Grand Prix were awarded by the General Secretary of Sports, Mr. Giorgos Mavrotas, together with Mr. Karakasilis and Mr. Dimaras.

In the CSI1* 1.25m event, the Romanian Andrea Herck with Poker de Roulard took the 1st place with 0 points and the best time of 27.38. Two Greek athletes followed in 2nd and 3rd place, Nikos Drougas with E. Brightwood Dorado with 0 points and a time of 28.26 and Panagiotis Tsaktiris with La Belle van Dorpeheide with 0 points and a time of 30.07.

Second victory for Angelos Touloupis, this time in the 7th class 1.15m. of CSI1* with Fantonette having a clear round and a best time of 63.71. In 2nd place was Ilias Baliousis with Marisa with a time of 65.46 and in 3rd place with Anastasia Albertou with Carine with a time of 67.34.

In the first competition of the day of 1.40m. two Italian women tied in 1st place with the exact same time, 70.55. Camilla Bosio with Kindesth and Sofia Manzetti with Fiolita. In 3rd place was the Romanian Constantin Cojocariu with Coco Chanel with 0 points and a time of 71.34.

In the children's competition, the Romanian Daria Maria Copos achieved another victory with Argentina with the only fluent route.

The third penultimate day of the Athens Equestrian Festival will start again at 9.00 am with the category of young horses and will conclude at 4.00 pm with the 1.45m event.
