Ukraine winner Longines EEF Series Nations Cup of Athens -2nd Greece !

With the crowd applauding the Greek Team that won the silver medal in the Longines EEF Series Nations Cup of Athens, the Athens Equestrian Festival 2023 ended on Sunday afternoon with great success.

In the Team Competition, the Greek Team with its athletes Angelos Touloupis with Lord Mexx, Kriton Zafeiropoulos with Dicaprio, Ilias Baliousis with Casper d'Argouges and Monika Martini with Electic Elvis with very good performances collected 12 points in both rounds taking the 2nd place. In 1st place was the young Ukrainian team of Konstantin Zolin with Handing van de Bresser, Anastasia Bondarieva with Calder, Eduard Slobodeniuk with My Blue Pleasure d'Ive Z and Mykola Pylypeiko with Karat, who collected in both rounds 4 points. In 3rd place was the Italian team also with 12 points.

 

With this result, the Greek Team qulified for the semi-final which will take place in Austria at the end of the month, together with the teams of Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania and Italy.

In the penultimate event of the last day of 1.30m. of CSI1* the winner was Benjamin Plentade from France with Baltik Sitte with 0 points and a time of 40.61. In 2nd and 3rd place were two Romanian riders Constantin Cojocariu with Londa with 0 points and a time of 41.28 and Damina Cojocariu with Con Clarimo with 0 points and a time of 41.34.

In the 1.20m children's Grand Prix after a jump off between three amazons, the 1st place for the third time in a row in the four days was won by the Romanian Daria Maria Copos with Argetnina with 0 points and the best time of 45.18 in the jump-off. In 2nd and 3rd place were two Greeks, Emmelia Economopoulos with Goldstar with 0 points and a time of 48.87 and Vasiliki Baliousi with Times Square with 4 points.

In the final of the young horses 6/7 years old, Angelos Touloupis with Kanthago de Revel took the 1st place after a jump off with the fastest clear round in a time of 41.02, while in the corresponding category of 5 years the winner was the Ukrainian Eduard Slobodeniuk with Cornet Gold with 0 points and a time of 41.40 in the shoot-off.
