The 2023 Panhellenic Competitions will be held in a festive atmosphere!
In a festive Christmas atmosphere, the last competitions of the year will take place in the jumping and dressage. The indoor arena of the Markopoulo Olympic Equestrian Center wears its festive clothes and welcomes the riders from all over Greece who will take part in the 75th Panhellenic Games.
This three days, December 1, 2 and 3, will be the Panhellenic Dressage Games and the following four-days, December 7, 8, 9 and 10, will be followed by the Panhellenic Jumping Games. Many entreis are expected in both sports.
During the Panhellenic Games, the Panhellenic winners in both sports, in the categories of Children, Juniors, Young Riders and Seniors, will be announced, while in Dressage the Polyniks of the year will also be announced.
In Dressage, the first three days, the Panhellenic winners will emerge from the average of the three events. That is, in the Children's Category from the average in the A3, A4 and A5 Children's events, in the Juniors category from the C4, C5 and Freestyle Young Riders events, in the Young Riders from the Da De and Freestyle and in the Sniors category from the Da , Db and Freestyle. The efforts of the dressage athletes will be judged by the two foreign judges from France Anne Prain and Miguel Goncalves from Portugal, along with the Greek judges.
In Jumping, the Panhellenic winners in the Children, Juniors, Young Riders and Seniors categories will be selected from two rounds, which will take place over two days and in the event of a tie after the two days, there will be a jump off. In addition, the winners of the Panhellenic competitions in the Amazons Category and the Champions in the Young Horse Category of 4, 5, 6 and 7 years will be announced. The jumping program also includes other competitions and the National Development Team competition which will be held on Saturday afternoon.
#BEACTIVE
"RIDING - two hearts one athlete"
HEF, as part of the European program "#BEACTIVE", is organizing for the third time the Event "Equestrian: two hearts one athlete", alongside with the Panhellenic Games, at the Olympic Equestrian Center on Friday, December 8, 2023.
The previous events were held successfully in 2019 and 2022. The purpose of the program "#BEACTIVE", which means "Move - Exercise - Energy", is to motivate participation rather than success, to combine play with exercise and getting to know the educational character of sport, emphasizing noble competition, cooperation, solidarity, inclusion and respect for diversity.
The event of the HEF includes the conduct of educational - sports activities in combination with the Panhellenic Games and the participation of students and teachers from schools in Attica, who will visit Markopoulo as part of organized educational visits of schools, as well as families with children.
The aim of the Event is to get to know all the equestrian sports cultivated by HEF in Greece, namely: Show Jumping (Olympic), Dressage (Olympic), Endurance, Driving and Para-Dressage (Para-Olympic). Furthermore, there will be special education on the well-being, nutrition, horsemanship and shoeing of sports horses, as well as the therapeutic value of the horse and the programs of Therapeutic Horseback Riding.
