The Champions 2024 in Thessaloniki & Athens!

The Metlen Jumping and Dressage Championship 2024 was successfully completed yesterday at two equestrian facilities in Athens and Thessaloniki. Jumping was hosted at the Equestrian Center of Macedonia / Ippos Club and dressage s at the Mesogeion Equestrian Club.

In Jumping we had the most exciting and quality championship in recent years, with many entries from all over the country, which gives perspective for a new blossoming of the sport in Greece.

In the Senior Category, for the second time after 2022, Elias Baliousis of IOA and Casper d'Argouges were again crowned Champions, collecting 4 points in the four rounds and having the best ranking on the last day. Second with also 4 points was Dimitris Natsis of IOKOUV with Cresco and third was Kate Laskaridis of IOB with Hilada also with 4 points.

In the Young Riders Category, Artemis Pitsikou of IOA was crowned Champion for the first time with Venice with 8 points in four rounds. Second was last year's Junior Champion Maria Kavalari with Sunny of IOKALSG with 12 points and third was Giorgos Meimaridis with Carpe Diem of AOI with 41 points.

In the Junior Category, for the first time Paraskevi Kanellaki of IOBOP took the title with Alvaro Mongrenier with the fewest points, 4, in the four rounds. In 2nd place was Loukas Baliousis with Uidji of IOA with 8 points and in 3rd place was Annie Nomikou with Rushdie of IOB with 9 points.

In the Children's Category the Champion was Nefeli Rosalia Kyritsopoulou of IPPOK with Chucky Z with 4 penalty points in the four rounds. Second and third with 8 penalty points respectively were Androniki Maroglou with Dario Delup of IKEM and Asimina Myrto Spentzou with Veole de Kergane of AKIB.

In the Amazon Category, the winner was Katerina Doubodel with Butterfly de Rhodes of IKEM with 4 penalty points in the four rounds, followed in 2nd and 3rd place by Hellas Lemonidis of EIO with Venedig with 8 points and Vasiliki Drsmani of IOB with Cloud Nine with 9 points.

In Dressage we had a very interesting competition, with record entries and new blood (in riders and horses) in all championship categories.

In the Senior Category, for the second year in a row, but with a different horse, Christina Sahinoglou of IOM was crowned Champion, this time with Arena, gathering a total percentage of 60.12% from the three events of the three days Da, Db and freestyle.

n the Young Riders Category, for the first time the Champion was Maria Eleni Tourkomani of EIO with Seine Tosca, having a total percentage of the three competitions Da, De and freestyle 66.04%.

In the Junior Category, in her first participation in the Category, Danae Giannopoulou with Svesnon 5, who was last year's Champion in Children, was crowned Champion. The IOB amazon collected a total percentage of 66.32% from the three events G4, G5 and freestyle. Second was Vittoria Cuculi of IOM with Damor with a percentage of 63.83% and third was Petros Ramsis Rotas Gereis with Kivi with a percentage of 61.91%.

In the Children's Category, also for the first time, Christina Papageorgiou of IOM was crowned Champion with Gigi Loma L with a total percentage of 72.79% from the three events A3, A4 and A5. Second with a percentage of 72.12% was Korina Meimari of AIOAT with Joe and third was Vasiliki Polychronakis of IOP with Thrylos with a percentage of 68.69%.
