The Balkan Endurance Championship for the 2nd time in Greece!
The Balkan Championship is coming for the second time to Greece, in Northern Greece.
Five years after the first event, in 2019, on 4, 5 and 6 October, the Hellenic Equestrian Federation organizes the Balkan Championship, International Competitions (CEIYJ1*-BALKAN CUP, CEI2*, CEI1*, CEIYJ1*) and national endurance competitions in Kilkis, with the participation of all the Balkan countries.
The event is under the auspices of the European Equestrian Federation and is held in collaboration with the Municipality of Kilkis and the equestrian club, the Kilkis Equestrian Club.
Greece will take part in the Balkan Championship with five athletes, Gianoula Mitona with Aphroditi, Katerina Malliaki with Dias, Stella Papanikolaou with GA Evinia, Pantelis Salonikios with Six Degrees, Victoria Schina with Colorado Dream and Thodoris Lantavos with LLG Nadide.
In the CEIYJ1*BALKAN CUP - 102 km., which will be held for the first time, they will take part : Kyriaki Kalpaxidou with Amira, Maria Ioanna Roussi with Helena, Georgia Mamai with Sahib, Angeliki Mermingidis with Kami and Andreas Tsirounis with Akirawill. In the CEI1* - 102 km. Alexandros Alafragkis with Zafer HM, George Francis with Hellenic Spirit, Maria Ioanna Roussi with M Aggeo, Aris Paraskevopoulos with Achzan and Nektaria Aliferi with GA Artemis will participate.
The opening ceremony and the parade of the athletes will be held after the first veterinary inspection on Friday, 4/10, while the start of the Balkan competition will be given on Saturday, 5/10 in the morning.
