Greek Εquestrian Sport Celebrated the Achievements of 2025!
In a warm and pleasant atmosphere, the Annual Event of the Hellenic Equestrian Federation was successfully held yesterday afternoon at the auditorium of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, where Greek equestrian sport celebrated its achievements of 2025.
This year’s event of the Hellenic Equestrian Federation was dedicated to social contribution, highlighting sport as a force that goes beyond distinctions and becomes a source of inspiration, solidarity, and life. Within this context, individuals were honored who, through vision, faith, love, and selfless dedication, contribute to the creation of a stronger and more humane society.

During the event, the Federation honored Mr. Georgios Kapellakis, President of the Hellenic Paralympic Committee, for his invaluable and long-standing contribution to the Paralympic movement in our country, as well as equestrian athlete Michalis Kalarakis, who competed in the Paris Paralympic Games.
It also honored Mr. Dionysios Kodellas, President of Special Olympics Hellas, on the occasion of the completion of ten years since he assumed the leadership of the organization, as well as physician and founder of E.M.E.I.S. and President of the Philippos Association of Greece, Mr. Grigorios Xepapadakis, for his scientific and philanthropic work.

The Federation also honored two distinguished women: Ms. Maria Liga, a physiotherapist specializing in hippotherapy and former President of the Serres Therapeutic Riding Center, for her contribution to the development of therapeutic riding in Greece; and Ms. Ioanna Glynou, an equestrian athlete and jewelry designer, for her inspiration and implementation of charitable initiatives within the sport of equestrianism.
The event was, of course, also dedicated to equestrian athletes and their competitive achievements. Ioli Mytilineou and Angelos Touloupis were awarded for their major international distinctions during the previous year, as well as athletes who honored the national emblem through their participation and contribution to the National Team, including Dimitris Natsis, Anna Papageorgiou, and Ilias Balioussis.

Furthermore, athletes who participated in World and European Championships were awarded, as well as those who won medals in individual and team events at the Balkan Championships in Show Jumping, Dressage, and Endurance Riding. The 2025 Champions in the three equestrian disciplines were also honored, along with the Champion and Most Successful Clubs of the year.
Among those who honored the event with their presence were Mr. Isidoros Kouvelos, President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee and Member of the Board of the Hellenic Equestrian Federation; Mr. Haris Tsolakis, President of the International Olympic Academy; Ms. Vicky Kavallari, Regional Councillor of Eastern Attica; Ms. Aria Agatsa, President of the Athens–Macedonian News Agency; as well as members of the Hellenic Olympic and Paralympic Committees and representatives of sports federations.
Once again this year, Greek equestrianism honored organizations, sponsor companies, and individuals who consistently support the sport, including the National Sponsor, Mr. Giannis Mytilineos, and the companies Metlen and Protergia; the Region of Attica; the Municipality of Markopoulo; the Public Real Estate Company (ETAD); the Philippos Association of Greece; Swatch Hellas with Longines; Hellenica with Seventeen; Mr. Sotiris Stathopoulos; Ms. Eleni Rouboulaki; Ms. Sissy Tatarida; Ms. Thaleia Georgili; the Antoniou Group; Duxiana; Connolly; Superfast Ferries; Luxury Sports; IASO General Clinic; Autohellas–Hertz; Holiday Inn Athens; Masazaki; and Lione Creative Studios, for their significant contribution to the promotion of the sport of equestrianism.
