The Show Jumping Championship Begins!

The top national show jumping event, the Greek Championship, kicks off this weekend, February 27, 28 and March 1. It will be held over five competitions and will conclude with the Final at the end of June.

The first Championship competition of the year will take place at the indoor arena of the Olympic Equestrian Center in Markopoulo, featuring the best Greek riders from across the country.

The show jumping competition will begin at 9:00 a.m. on all three days and includes the following categories: Children, Juniors, Young Riders, Women Riders, Young Horses (6–7 years old), and the main Grand Prix event, which will be held on Sunday, March 1. The competition schedule also includes open classes with obstacle heights ranging from 1.05m to 1.30m.

The Greek Champions in the Children, Juniors and Young Riders categories, as well as the 2026 Leading Woman Rider, will be the athletes who accumulate the highest score in three out of the five Championship competitions, while the Final Championship competition will carry a 100% bonus in points.

Only the Champion in the Senior category will be determined by the Final Championship competition, which is scheduled to take place at the Equestrian Center of Macedonia in Thessaloniki from June 25–28, 2026.
