Successful completion of the 3rd competition in Markopoulo!
Despite the unstable weather, the 3rd three-day Championship competition in Show Jumping, hosted at the indoor arena of the Olympic Equestrian Center in Markopoulo, was successfully completed yesterday, Sunday.
In the top event, the Grand Prix at a height of 1.40m, the winner once again this year was the 2025 Champion, Dimitris Natsis, riding Cresco of AIOKEN, with a total of 8 faults over the two rounds. Second place went to Paris Koutsogiannis with Pellegrino van t Edelweishof of IOVOP, while third place was secured by Anna Papageorgiou with Hector du Plessis of IKEM.

In the Young Riders category, held during the Small Grand Prix class at a height of 1.35m, Maria Kavallari riding Sunny of IOKAL took 1st place, while Artemis Taliaki of IOB secured 2nd place with Valence.
In the standings after three competitions, Artemis Taliaki leads with 25 points. She is followed by Paraskevi Kanellaki of IOKOUB with Alvaro Mongrenier on 20 points, and Maria Kavallari in third place with 19 points.

In the Juniors category, following a jump-off between two riders, Stefania Bessiou of IOMS riding Diana vd Tojopehoeve took 1st place with the fastest clear round in a time of 37.75 seconds.
Second place went to Kostantza Andronikou Kalyva of EIO with J. Clearway, finishing with 0 faults in 38.56 seconds, while Anastasia Albertou of IOA placed 3rd with Imotep d’Amour, carrying 4 faults from the first round.
In the standings after three competitions, Stefania Bessiou and Vasiliki Baliouzi of IOA riding Helsi d’Amaury are tied for 1st place with 25 points. Kostantza Andronikou Kalyva follows in 3rd place with 22 points.
In the Children’s category, after a jump-off between four athletes, Myrto Asimina Spentzou of IOA riding Rebel VGW emerged as the winner with 0 faults and the fastest time of 38.60 seconds.
Second place went to the winner of the 2nd competition, Antonis Yantzoglou, also of IOA, riding Hella du Ruisseau, with 0 faults in 38.85 seconds. Third place was taken by Maria Marangou of AIOE with Atlanta de Martinvast, also on 0 faults, in a time of 39.64 seconds.
In the standings after three competitions, Evanthia Kourmoumeli of IOVOP riding Helia de Latour leads with 26 points. Antonis Yantzoglou and Myrto Asimina Spentzou follow in 2nd and 3rd place with 22 and 19 points respectively.

In the Ladies category, a jump-off took place between four riders, with Sofia Toki of IOKOUB riding Santa Maria taking 1st place with 0 faults and the fastest time of 33.64 seconds.
Second place went to Marianna Marinopoulou of AIOKEN with Copper de Caryan, also on 0 faults, in 36.02 seconds, while Iliana Zafeiropoulou of IKEM placed 3rd with Taquine du Vivier, finishing with 4 faults.
In the overall standings, Sofia Toki leads with 18 points, followed in 2nd place by Argyro Papageorgiou of IOA riding Harmony with 16 points.

In the 6–7-year-old Young Horses category, the winner was Tini III, ridden by Alexander Krasimirov of AIOAT.

Two more competitions remain to determine this year’s Champions. The next event, the 4th and penultimate Championship competition, is scheduled for the three-day period of May 1–3 in Thessaloniki at Ippos Club.
