Endurance Championship

Maliaki, Chouliara, Vasila & Kotti the Endurance Champions !

With great success, and with the amazons taking center stage by winning all the championship titles, the Championship and the second international Endurance Riding event of the year concluded on Sunday, April 26 in Kilkis, organized by the Kilkis Equestrian Club.

More specifically, in the Senior Category, Katerina Maliaki (IOKIL) was crowned Champion and winner of the CEI1* 120 km international competition for the second time, riding Dias and completing the distance in 8:58:07. In second place, both in the Championship and the international competition, was Areti Patsioura (IOKIL) with Salamon Ektoras R in 8:58:08. Third place went to Theodoris Lantavos (AIOLJC) with Debi Ahmir in 9:06:38.

In the Young Riders Category (100 km), the amazons of IPOA dominated, claiming all three top positions. Champion was Fotini Artemis Chouliara with Kalos in 6:56:54. Sofia Pollatou took second place with Aeden in 6:56:56, while Vasiliki Violeta Touli finished third with Hakim in 6:57:58.

In the Junior Category, the Champion—and also the winner of the CEIYJ1* 100 km international competition—was Evdokia Vasila (IAOKAV) with Osiris, finishing in 6:09:14. Second place in the Championship went to Natalia Yiatra (AIOM) with Fares in 6:57:56, while Savvina Maria Theodorou (AIOM) took third place with Azira in 7:36:10.

In the Children’s Category (60 km), Nefeli Kotti (AIOLJC) was crowned Champion with Sirocco, completing the distance in 3:57:13. Maria Papatheodorou (IPOA) finished in second place with Saira in 4:07:31, while Eleni Chara Rokaki (IPOA) took third place with Nihal in 4:07:32.

In the CEI1* 100 km international competition on Saturday, the winner was Katina Lyutova from Bulgaria with Evlampiy, finishing in 6:22:25. In the corresponding Juniors & Young Riders CEIYJ1* competition, the winner was also from Bulgaria, Radost Bakalova with Nazaret, in a time of 6:25:34.

In Sunday’s CEI1* 100 km international competition, first place went to Giota Chrysanthakopoulou (IPOA) with Helena, finishing in 8:11:55.
