The prestigious Longines EEF Series CSIO3-W* show jumping event concluded with great success on Sunday evening, June 7, at Ippos Club in Thessaloniki, with Italy claiming the Nations Cup title for the second consecutive year.
In the highlight competition of the four-day event, the LES Greece Nations Cup Team Competition, which set a new participation record with ten competing nations, Italy once again proved dominant, securing victory with ease.

Two members of the Italian team repeated last year's success: Roberto Turchetto aboard Bubalou and Bruno Chimirri riding Je Suis Codot d’Archeronte. They were joined by Elisa Chimirri, Bruno's daughter, competing alongside her father in a Nations Cup for the first time with Cornico, and Matteo Zamana riding Captain Conner. Italy finished with a total of just four penalties across both rounds. Germany claimed second place with 16 penalties, while Hungary completed the podium in third with 20 penalties.
The Greek team delivered a determined performance but ultimately finished eighth with 36 penalties. The team consisted of Ioli Mytilineou riding Casanova, making her first home Nations Cup appearance for Greece, Aikaterini Laskaridi with Hilada, Dimitris Natsis with Cresco, and Ilias Baliousis aboard Ice Tea du Golfe.
The prize-giving ceremony for the competition, which brought the event to a festive close, was conducted by Ms. Dimitra Morisaiou, CEO of Longines Hellas and representative of the title sponsor Longines; Mr. Alan Atabaka, Member of the Board of the European Equestrian Federation; Mr. Georgios Dimaras, Member of the Board of the Hellenic Equestrian Federation; Mr. Nikos Siafaras, Show Director; and Mr. Karoly Fougli, Foreign Judge and Member of the Ground Jury.
In Friday's Metlen Grand Prix 1.55m, the outstanding winner was Turkey's Necmi Eren aboard XPSS Levilensky, producing a flawless jump-off round in the fastest time of 41.75 seconds. Italy's Francesco Corrredu Uitos finished second in 43.60 seconds, while Hungary's Tamas Mraz Cordoe secured third place, also recording a time of 43.60 seconds.
