The Balkan Dressage Championship in Belgrade!

The 2026 Balkan Dressage Championship will take place this weekend, September 18–20, in Belgrade, Serbia, specifically at Kovilovo.

Greece will be represented by 19 athletes and horses across the four categories: Children, Juniors, Young Riders and Seniors.

In the Children’s category, eight female riders will compete: Angeliki Katsouli with Ninniefeh, Chara Gioukaki with Maximus, Danae Tziakou with Chivas Macaroon Go West, Zoi Hartzi with Doc Doce, Evangelia Saroukou with Reportero VII, Anna Maria Kalaitzidaki with Boekens Turbo, Venetia Trecha with Tango, and Ariadni Kyriakidou with Saxo.

In the Juniors’ category, Greece will be represented by Danae Sofia Papapolyzou with San Francetto, Korina Meimari with Sola Shalima, Danae Giannopoulou with Barcelona, Giannis Laliotis with Denzo Julianelyst, Marilia Giannopoulou with Henzo, Doreta Kyriakou with Veronica AG, and Konstantina Chatziaapostolou with Donatella MG.

In the Young Riders’ category, two female riders will compete: Eleni Barmpati with Formentera and Maria Tsirigkaki with Storm Ranger.

In the Seniors’ category, Greece will be represented by Christina Sachinoglou with Marilyn Monroe and Maria Eleni Tourkomani with Seine Tosca.

A total of 64 riders and their horses from seven Balkan countries will take part in the Championship: Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, Serbia, Croatia and Cyprus.

The veterinary inspection of the horses is scheduled for Thursday, September 17, while the Chef d’Équipe of the Greek delegation will be the General Secretary of the Hellenic Equestrian Federation (HEF), Mr. Nikos Chartzis.
