Nine medals in Zagreb

With nine medals in its luggage, four gold, four silver and a bronze, the Greek mission returns today from Zagreb, having participated at the Balkan Dressage Championship.
The Greek riders managed to win three gold in the individual classes and one gold in the team competition. In particular, juniors have been the absolute winner in their class. Not only did they take the gold medal in the team competition, but also thanks to this year's Junior Champion, Lavinia Makropoulou and Widoc Timbre, Greece also won the gold at the individual. The Greek team consisted of Lavinia, Eleni Retsou with Fairytale, Rafaellia Georgoulea with Cassian and Myrto Kouvatsi with Grossino M.
In the categories of Children and Young Riders the four Amazons made the best possible, winning two gold and two silver medals. In the children class this year's champion, Maria Eleni Tourkomani with Dj in her maiden appearance at the Balkan Championship, was the Balkan Champion. 2nd Balkan winner was Eirini Dimitrijevic with Escordio. In the Young Ridetrs category, this year's champion, Nina Isabella Raviini with Djonas Figaro, was for the 2nd consecutive year the Balkan winner. The silver medal was won by Elizabeth Maika and Sir Kavalier.
In the Seniors category, our four riders , Christina Sachinoglou with Rafaelo 4, Stelios Stavroulakis with Baiao, Phedra Xanthopoulou with Flavio Go and Evangelia Koupenou with Ihor won the silver medal at the Team Competition, with Slovenia taking the gold. Last year's Balkan winner, Christina Sachinoglou with Rafaelo 4 won the silver medal, while Seniors Champion 2016 & 2017, Stelios Stavroulakis with Baiao, won the bronze medal.
