Strategy Presentation

With a sense of responsibility towards athletes, horses, society and the environment, the Hellenic Equestrian Federation presented its Sustainability Strategy on 28/3/2025.

In an era where sports federations, beyond their narrow sporting purpose, are called upon to promote positive social and environmental changes, equestrian, as a sport in direct contact with animals and the environment, adopts sustainable practices that enhance its development.

The strategy is based on three main pillars – people/society, horses and the environment – ​​and includes actions such as highlighting the positive impact of the sport on the national economy and social activity, reducing the environmental footprint, enhancing the welfare of horses and promoting social responsibility.

The goal is to create a sports equestrian ecosystem that respects the values ​​of sustainability, offers new professional and investment opportunities and ensures positive acceptance and support from society.

HEF calls on everyone – athletes, clubs, coaches, volunteers and supporters – to get involved and support this effort.

Together we can shape a responsible future for equestrianism, where man, horse, society and environment coexist harmoniously.
